How we select

Made in Portugal is where we start. It is not enough.

We bring together traditional, deeply Portuguese craft and design pieces that reinterpret the material. Each one has to earn its place.

01 /

Origin verified

Only what is made in Portugal comes in, and we check the origin of every single item. That is where we start.

02 /

A reason to be here

Every piece earns its place through craftsmanship, material, design or the story it tells. If it is generic or easy to find elsewhere, it stays out.

03 /

Tradition without cliché, design with substance

Painted clay, basketry, embroidery and weaving next to glass, pared-back ceramics and light. Traditional symbols, yes; superficial takes, no.

04 /

Assessed in person, shipped by the maker

A Portuguese founder contacts and assesses every maker. Each one prepares and ships their own pieces; shipping and delivery time are shown before you pay.
